Smokey Quartz Crystal #40 measures approximately 6 1/4" x 2 1/16" x 1 1/4" (1569mm x 53mm x 33mm) and weighs 15.0 ounces (385.7 grams). This crystal has what is probably deep green Tourmaline in it, making it Tourmalinated Quartz. There is a bit of what is probably Albite on one end. This crystal is also a Barnacle Quartz. Neither termination is complete. This is a beautiful piece of Smokey Quartz energetically.

Smokey Quartz is most effective on the Solar Plexus Chakra as well as the Minor Chakras of the Hands and Feet. (Every healer knows the Chakras of the Hand and Feet are not Minor Chakras!) It dispels negative emotions (anger, resentment, and negative thought patterns), emotional blockages, and negative energy. This crystal also provides excellent protection and grounding. It's a very good crystal to use for meditation. This crystal's energy is gentle, and it takes time to do its work.
Albite is one of the Feldspars. This crystal inspires you to action and even helps you find your own freedom through change. It helps with clarity of thought, helping your brain with appropriately timed brain wave output. If you have changes coming up that are scary, Albite helps you work on fear of the unknown.
Interestingly enough, this crystal connects the Third Eye Chakra to the Throat Chakra. I view the Throat Chakra, Third Eye Chakra, and Crown Chakra as part of the same "system".
